My lid does not close properly, is it crooked or does it no longer stay open?

If you do not regularly maintain your Grill Bill kamado or do not maintain it at all, it is possible that the lid may become crooked or no longer stay open properly.

If the lid of your kamado bbq sits crooked, you have the chance that the temperature becomes more difficult to control.

Hinge adjustment

You can readjust the hinge quite easily.

What is also important is that the springs are sufficiently tensioned again. The attachment as shown in the picture below is pulled together by the tension of the springs. This should put you back in the original position.

Position brackets

The idea is to increase the distance between the attachment points of the springs so that the springs will be tighter and the lid will open and stay open easily again. See fig:
