Thick ceramic holds the heat and bounces it back toward the centre. The temperature stays stable for hours and barely drops when you open the lid.
The Classic Sr. is the largest of the Classic series. On a 52 cm grate you cook a full dinner for twelve people.

Simplicity

No fuss

The Classic cooks on a single stainless steel grate with a ceramic heat deflector underneath. No multilevel system, but the same cooking performance as the Pro series.
You control the air with the bottom vent and the cast iron daisy wheel on top. Two knobs, and you know exactly where you stand.

Stainless steel grate
A 52 cm grate in stainless steel. It doesn't rust, wipes clean easily and is suited for everything from steaks to long, slow cooks.
Ceramic heat deflector
Place the deflector under the grate and the flame no longer hits your food directly. That's the setting for smoking, low and slow cooks and baking pizza.
Cast iron daisy wheel
The vent on top of the dome. Together with the bottom vent, it sets how much air flows through the kamado, and so at what temperature you're cooking.
Analogue thermometer
The thermometer sits in the lid. You see at a glance what temperature you're cooking at, without opening the lid.
Stand with bamboo side tables
The kamado sits on a stand with wheels, with two bamboo side tables and hooks for your tools. Everything you need is within reach.
