Acacia charcoal is a versatile premium charcoal: it comes up to temperature quickly and then burns long and evenly. You get a warm, full glow with a mild smoke flavour, so this charcoal works just as well for a quickly seared steak as for a relaxed session of hours by the fire.

Use
Fill the fire basket to about two-thirds and light only a small part of the coals. Let the fire spread on its own and adjust with your vents. Count on around 1 to 1.5 kilos for a short session and fill the basket more generously for a long cook. Store the bag dry and well sealed: damp coals light slowly and give off unnecessary amounts of smoke.
