Why a kamado rain cover

A kamado stands outside all year round and takes everything that comes with it: rain showers, leaves, blown sand and bird droppings. It won't break from that, but you do lose a quarter of an hour cleaning it up every time before you can cook. With a cover on, you just pull it off and go. How to use it

Only pull the cover over once your kamado has cooled down. A warm kamado under a cover holds its heat for a long time, and that's no good for anything. If the cover itself has gotten wet, let it dry open before you store it.
