How to use it
Have the trivet ready before you take the pan off the fire, so you're not searching for it with your hands full. Place it on a flat surface. On a delicate surface such as a lacquered table, it's best to put a cloth or wooden board underneath, because the cast iron itself also gets hot.
Maintenance
Rinse it with warm water, dry it straight away and rub it lightly with a neutral oil if you're storing it for a while. Cast iron rusts with moisture, so never leave it wet outdoors.
