Bill's Smart Qooking System - 23 inch

Bill's Smart Qooking System is the multilevel grill system 23 inch for your Grill Bill: a frame with half grates and half heat deflectors that lets you cook at different heights at once. You sear meat directly over the fire, while a side dish cooks gently one level up. That way everything comes off the kamado around the same time, instead of course after course.

Why a multilevel grill system 23 inch

A kamado has one grate, and so one distance to the fire. If you want to sear and slow-cook at the same time, you normally have to choose or switch. With the half grates and half deflectors you build your own layout: a deflector under one half gives indirect heat there, while the other half stays open for direct grilling. You use the level above for vegetables, bread or keeping food warm.

What's in the set

You get 2 half stainless steel grates, 2 half ceramic heat deflectors and a wok holder. That wok holder gives a stable, round support for a wok or pan, so you can also stir-fry or simmer a sauce over the same fire.

Bill's tipPut the half with the deflector on the side the wind comes in from. The open half then stays the hottest, and that's exactly the spot where you want to sear your meat.

Care

The grates are stainless steel and can go straight in the dishwasher or under the tap. Let the ceramic deflectors cool down first and wipe them dry, since ceramic is porous and doesn't like sudden temperature changes.
