BBQ Controller ThermoWorks Signals & Billows
- Four inputs: core, pit and two extra probes
- Billows controls the airflow to the fire
- Hours of stable cooking without touching the vent
With an overnight brisket, at some point you just want to go to sleep instead of walking to the yard every hour. The ThermoWorks Signals and Billows together take care of that. The Signals measures four spots at once to track how your meat and your pit are developing, the Billows is the blower that sits on the lower air inlet of your kamado and feeds in exactly as much air as needed to hold the set temperature.
Why this matters on a kamado
A kamado bbq already holds its temperature well on its own, but during a long session it still drifts: wind, outside temperature, a coal bed settling. With the blower on the inlet, manually adjusting the air vents becomes unnecessary. You set what you want, the fan corrects the rest, and meanwhile the thermometer keeps an eye on the meat's core temperature.
- Four inputs: core, pit and two extra probes
- Control on the device itself and wirelessly via your phone
- Suited for kamado, smoker and charcoal grill with adjustable inlet
- Made for long sessions, not for quick, hot grilling
Connecting and using it
The Billows goes on the lower air inlet, the top vent stays at your own setting. Bring the fire up to temperature yourself first and only add the blower afterward: a controller holds an existing fire, it does not stoke it up. For shorter, simpler readings, check the bbq thermometers.
